ALL ABOUT BOTOX

You now have an option to deal with unwanted wrinkles and facial lines!  The physicians at Transformyou are trained and licensed to offer Botox, Bocouture and Xeomin treatments to our patients.

We carry the most well known Botox which is made by Allergan. We also carry a new botox product called Xeomin or Bocouture. Xeomin/Bocouture has been called the "Naked Botox" because it's pure. Xeomin/Bocouture unlike Botox has no additives, only botulinum toxin type A. This means there is less risk of developing antibodies against Xeomin/Bocouture compared to Botox. Let us help you deal with unwanted wrinkles and facial lines!

What is Botox Treatment and how does it work?

Botox is a cosmetic treatment mostly used to address facial wrinkles, lines and creases.  There are other uses for Botox such as reducing underarm sweating and eyebrow lifts.  A treatment consists of small injections with a fine needle into specific muscles just under the skin.

Once injected, Botox blocks the signals that are sent from the nerves to the muscles.  When the muscles are no longer receiving the nerve impulses, they can no longer contract.  This allows the wrinkles and creases to relax and become less visible.

How long do the treatments take and how long do they last?

A typical treatment lasts only a few minutes and generally takes 10 to 14 days to take full effect.  A single treatment may last for up to 3 months at which point the muscle action will gradually return and lines and wrinkles begin to appear again.

Most Botox treatments are used for forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eyes) and frown lines.  When untreated, wrinkles continue to deepen, causing shadows and trapping makeup.  By starting Botox injections sooner than later, the skin becomes smoother, creating a more natural and relaxed appearance.
