I was first introduced to Dr. Bird and the HCG diet (HCG diet Mesa AZ) through a mutual friend, and even though he came very highly recommended I started the program with a lot of skepticism; a pound a day yeah right! Well, a pound a day is exactly right! Before I began I made myself a promise that I would stick it out and I would follow the rules (I was going to give it a week and then quit like every other diet I've tried). The first week was difficult but when I lost my first two pounds in one day it was a cake walk (sorry, bad pun, there's no cake aloud). After the first pounds dropped off I was so motivated that nothing seemed to tempt me anymore. I couldn't wait to go to sleep each night. Every morning was like Christmas and I ran to the scale to receive my gift - that's right, another pound gone.
This diet has completely changed my life, I am 31 years old and when I started the program I weighed 277 pounds. At this point, I am now down 32 pounds with only 9 days to go. I can finally tie my shoes without feeling like my head is going to explode from the pressure. I can finally play a game of basketball with the guys without worrying about where the nearest defibrillator is. I can finally wrestle with my kids without cutting it short due to fatigue. I have never felt better and have never been happier; nothing feels better than when people I haven't seen in only a few weeks, freak out when they see me.
I was nervous in the beginning about talking to a doctor about my weight but I have to admit Dr. Bird made me feel very comfortable. He was discreet, professional and most of all he was always there when I needed his guidance or when I just needed a little reassurance. I will be forever indebted to my friend for recommending this program to me and I will be forever indebted to my new friend Dr. Bird for helping me get my life back.
