I've been overweight most of my life and always had to exercise EXTENSIVELY for hours a day to see any kind of weight loss. When I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2006, I was devastated because the pain I was experiencing was going to prevent me from exercising as much as I needed to maintain some semblance of healthy weight. I had accepted that I would be fat for the rest of my life and would probably never be healthy enough to have a baby.
 
Even with the hours of low-impact exercises and walking I did every day along with a 1500-calorie diet, I still weighed 225 pounds on my wedding day. Of course, once we tied the knot, all that exercise went by the wayside and I gained 20 pounds back over the course of only 6 or 7 months. There I was: 245 pounds, a new bride, and wanting to start a family soon. Just the thought of the amount of exercising it would take for me to lose enough weight to become "safe" for pregnancy made me dizzy. Luckily, a friend at work turned me on to the HCG diet. I went online and found Dr. Bird and scheduled an appointment immediately.
 
During my first 40-day round of HCG, I lost 30 pounds with Dr. Bird's help. My second round was 30 days and I lost another 24 pounds. My arthritis went into remission during the HCG diet and I had more energy than I remembered having in YEARS!  Now, at less than 200 pounds, I feel better, I look fantastic, and I won’t be coming back to Dr. Bird for a while because I am now PREGNANT!  I’m not yet done with my weight loss journey, so I will most definitely be visiting Dr. Bird after having the baby. I know he'll get me back on track and luckily, I will not have to break my back (and kill my joints) at the gym like most people to lose MY baby weight!
